Brother, Sister, Ride On!

Sweaty Sunday
Ride Level: Type I, Beginner (& all other levels)
August 24

6:30 a.m. | Meet at Communitas Parking Lot
7:00 a.m. | Group Ride Leave Parking Lot
9:00 a.m  | Return to parking lot

It is August, and it is HOT in Atlanta. That's why the Communicycle riders are hosting an early morning group ride. We will meet in Chamblee at the Communitas Building parking lot, and take a 15-20 mile tour of the area.

Not only is this a great way to beat the heat, but early Sunday is a great day to ride, because typically busy streets are nearly empty. We'll be done by 9:00, so you can get on with your Sunday schedule.

From I-285:
Take exit 31 to Peachtree Industrial Blvd.
(2 Exits for this road, be sure to take the SOUTH exit)
Proceed SOUTH past Motors Industrial
(BrandsMart on left)
At light, take a LEFT on Peachtree Road
(Lexus Dealership and Waffle House here)
Communitas Building is on the right.
(2nd Warehouse Building)

Big Creek trails are unpaved, and a bit rocky at times. The only gear you will need is a knobby-tired bike and a helmet, but many people who ride here like to have a little suspension to work with. If you might like to borrow a bike, contact us and we'll se how we can help.

This is a great ride for kids as well as adults, but because of road traffic, each kid must have a 'buddy' (parent or guardian) to ride with them.

We'll be riding rain or shine, though the ride may be cancelled in the event of thunderstorms.

NOTE:
If your bike needs work, please plan ahead and come out to one of our Tuesday shop nights (7-10 PM). Because this will be a very early start, please have your bike functional and ready to roll out PROMPTLY at 7:00 am. Thanks!

I'll Be There!

Do you have all the gear you need?
