There are five ways that you can get involved in Communicycle right now:
Pedal With Us
We are currently riding monthly, and our non-competitive rides are a great way to get some exercise and make some new friendships. Check out NextRide for details.
Get Your Hands Dirty
We meet regularly at our shop in Chamblee to work on donated bikes, sort and organize parts, and get to know each other. Contact us to find out how to get involved.
Unload the Old Rust Bucket
Got a bike (or two, or three) sitting in a garage or attic? We’ll take it from you, fix it up and get it into the hands of someone who will really appreciate it! We accept donations in all conditions.
Become an Advocate
Do you know someone who wants to ride? Who knows how to wrench? Who has access to funds that could help us out? Consider connecting them with us.
Empty Your Pockets
We need money – what community program doesn’t? The cool thing about bike repairs is that even the smallest amounts can make a huge difference. All donations are processed through our parent organizations, Communitas and Open Table Community, and are tax-deductable. Your gift is going to matter, and is much appreciated!
$100 – Become a Communicycle Hero
A gift of $100 will allow us to outfit our shop with necessary tools, manuals, and supplies. Without your gift, our shop would be nothing more than a few walls and a dusty floor. Without these important gifts, the program would cease to exist. Thanks for considering partnering with us in this way.
$50 - Get someone rolling
This amount is usually what we need to completely refurbish a donated bike, including stripping and sanding paint, primering, painting, replacing broken parts, adding new tires, tubes, a chain, cables, housing, and even adding safety stickers. Giving $50 will help someone become an everyday rider, which makes a big difference.
$25 - Keep someone rolling
Your gift of $25 will assist our riders to get new tires, tubes, bike chains, lube, sprockets, or any of the many other things that can spaz out on a bike. A donation given in this amount is one of the keys to keeping biking a sustainable form of transportation and exercise.
Other Amount
Five or ten bucks doesn’t buy much anymore, but it goes a long way in our shop. Sometimes a small amount is all that is needed to get someone pedaling again. We sincerely appreciate your kind donations of any size. Thanks!
Donate by Check
In addition to online donations, you can also send a check payable to Open Table Community with the word Communicycle in the memo field. Please mail your check to the following address:
